Opening 6 days late due to COVID lockdown, I am very excited to be able to show my recent work at the Arts Centre gallery as we open up after another lockdown. The main focus of the exhibition is strongly coloured abstract paintings and mixed media works. Working with bright colour has kept me cheerful over past months, especially during the dark grey days of winter. There is also some closely observed representational work that expresses my concern for the local natural environment.
Having cancelled all The Shaftesbury Group Art Fairs in the Town Hall throughout 2020 because of COVID19, we are pleased to have the opportunity to present a showcase exhibition of art from members of the group.
